A Prayer for Healing

Below is a translation of a powerful and popular prayer for healing in the Armenian Church. Most faithful know the prayer by the its first word: ‘Paradya.’
Take away our pains
and heal Your people from illnesses
O Lord our God,
And grant us perfect health
with the sign of Your
victorious Holy Cross,
Through which You removed all the weaknesses
among the human beings,
And condemned the enemy of our life and salvation.
For You are our life and salvation
O benevolent and beneficent God,
And only You are capable of forgiving our sins
And cleansing our impurities and illnesses,
Since only to You are known all our survival needs.
Bestower of life’s blessings,
Grant abundant mercy upon Your creatures
each according to own needs,
So that through them we may
Glorify You, the All Holy Trinity,
now and always.
Amen.
