A Prayer for Guidance

Son of the living God,

blessed in every way; . . .

Truly nothing is impossible with you,

When the unshadowed light of

your compassion and glory shines;

Sins melt away;

Hurtful thoughts and intentions

are scattered;

Injustices are erased;

Compulsive tendencies are overcome;

Restraining chains are shattered;

The dead are revived;

Wounds are cured;

Spiritual suffering is healed;

Sadness gives way;

Distress retreats;

Gloom runs away;

Uncertainty is dispelled;

The fog is dissipated;

Dark fears are consumed;

Obscurity is dissolved;

Darkness is lifted;

The night departs;

Anguish is banished;

Despair is driven away;

And your all-powerful presence reigns. . . .

You who came not to destroy human lives

But to save them,

Forgive and redirect my misdirected

actions, thoughts, and intentions,

And guide me to safety, peace, and joy

throughout this journey of life.

Blessed are you in the heights;

And glory unto you,

With the Father, and the Holy Spirit.
