The Hopeful Career

#8 Hope Is Empowering

The power of hope is that you can develop it from within. You don’t need a college degree, job experience, or money to develop a sense of hope. In fact hope cannot be purchased; it must be generated from within. It is this hope that empowers from within to strive, plan, and attain that which may appear to be impossible for others.

Hope is neither attitude nor a creative way of stating a reality. Attitude drains our energy and stating realities in new creative ways wears off. However, hope, which is based on our faith and vision of love, unifies, strengthens, and directs our whole being towards a brighter future that we envision. This affects our person, family, career, and social relationships. By unifying and guiding all that which we have, and giving them an eternal dimension based on the uniqueness that God has placed in each and single one of us, we are strengthened in at least two ways. First, our whole being is unified and focused in a positive given direction. Second, we develop the type of loving reciprocating relationships that empower us as well as others. This is the empowerment we experience as we strive to develop hope from within.

Only we can develop our unique sense of hope that empowers and energizes us. This sense of hope is unique to us because it is our effort at combining our God given potentials with our unique aspirations. These aspirations include our personal, familial, and career relationships.
