A Prayer for Healing
O Father
of compassion and God of all consolation, Who consoles us in all our
sorrows.
You strike, but also heal, and never let Your creatures
out of Your care.
Give to Your creatures O Lord, the spirit of prudence,
the spirit of consolation, and may those whose hearts are stricken with grief be
consoled by You.
Heal the wounds of their sorrow, so that strengthened
in the hope of Your glories, they may recover from the sorrow of their
bereavement and may glorify Your great dominion, now and always and forever and
ever. Amen.
