A short visit to the Monastery of Khor Veerab (translated as the
"Deep Pit" or "Dungeon") where St. Gregory the Illuminator was imprisoned for
13 years prior to emerging, healing the king, and helping make Armenia the
first people to accept Christianity as a nation. The 1,700 anniversary
pilgrimages and celebrations will begin at this location.
